We need the church & the church needs you

We Need The Church & The Church Needs You!

Scripture- Hebrews 10:25. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Why We Need the Church:

One good look at yourself, society, and anyone else you know that maybe struggling in life with something, it then becomes apparent why we need the church. This writing is for those who may think church is only for the saved andthose that already have themselves together, for those who think you don't need to be in church for several hours or multiple times in a week & for those who may feel as though you have no place or call in the church. My prayer is that you receive whatever it is GOD may have for you!

The Church is like our Spiritual gas station and mechanic. The cars we drive on the day to day bases require many different things to be maintained in good working conditions, especially older cars which is what I would like to first draw our attention to. If you drive an older vehicle mechanics will often tell you it's very important to be sure you get your oil changed on time. If you do not, your car will begin to have engine issues and not driving smoothly and not long after not working at all. Along with consistent oil changes there are many other maintenance responsibilities a owner of a older car will have, such as you will likely need a transmission flush, radiator flush, alignment, just to name a few things. You also will need gas in your vehicle, no matter when you buy your vehicle, who you bought it from or how much gas you may of started with in your vehicle, if your driving that vehicle you will soon undoubtedly need gas. As I said church is like our gas station and you need gas to keep your car going. In other words we need to hear the Word of God being preached to us at church, we need the strength that comes from it and being among the people of God. Spiritually we are like the older vehicle. After we get what we need from church(gas station), it doesn't just stop there, there's more work to be done(Vehicle Maintenance). We have to pray if we want to stay, we have to fast if we want to last, deny ourselves love our enemies, evangelize, live Holy etc. In order for us to be able to do these things and learn and grow in God, it takes coming to church. This is just the way God made it to be (1Corinthians 1:21) it takes whatever it takes for each individual. Now I would like to bring your attention new vehicles and the difference. New vehicles are now made so much more efficiently than in years past so that the owners have to make less & less trips as possible to any mechanic and even any gas station. Many new vehicles are made to be more fuel efficient so you can save money and go longer without needing gas. others have a system that will tell you how many miles you have until you're empty on gas and even if you run out of gas they can bring you gas where you are. New vehicles are also made so you can go longer without oil changes some as long as 6months. So as you can see this is totally different from the maintenance needed for older vehicles. New vehicles maintenance and needs don't compare to us spiritually as older vehicles do but rather they compare to the enemies very plan to get each of us out of church however he can. God’s Word is life and it is POWERFUL, the devil knows this and if he can get us away from church where the Word is being preached & taught we will become spiritually weak and will stop growing and progressing just like a car without gas can't go anywhere, that's how we would be. Be NOT deceived my brother & my sister, God is yet working in the church, distractions have come your way to cause you to be discouraged by the church and to make you believe everyone in the church is bad. The enemy knows if he can stop you from going to your spiritual gas station & mechanic your spiritual engine and battery will not last very long on this journey called life. What you need is in God's house, healing deliverance, forgiveness, love fellowship and so much more. WE NEED THE CHURCH!!!

Why The Church Needs You:

The Church is meant to be a representation of God on earth, in the lives of the lost we are to be a light, a difference should be seen and easily recognized in us. The Church needs you because God has a purpose for each of us and as long as you are not saved and living for God, that means you are outside of his purpose for your life. We have all been given gifts, talents and abilities that God desires us to use for his glory and to help further his kingdom. The decision is up to you and I on if we will do that or not. There is only one you and nobody can do what you do like you do. There's a special place for you in the body of Christ and if you're not there then the body of Christ is lacking. God gave His all for you and I when he died for our sins. Let us not do anything half heartedly for him. No matter if we have the ability to sing, dance, write, draw, create, athletic, speaking, play the organ, piano, drums, guitar, flute, or any instrument, whatever it is you are gifted in & have a passion do it for God give your all in it. If that doesn't motivate you, just think about the fact that there is somebody out there meant to get saved because of something God has given you to do or wants to use to tell someone and if you're not obedient to God and using your gifts, someone else may never come to know Jesus. Many people want the glory and shine that seems to come from being a preacher in the pulpit, but God is looking & in need of some people that just wants to do all they can for Him. There is a great work that needs to be done in in this world, it must begin with those of us that are saved and know Jesus as our LORD and savior, it begins with prayer. Pray with us and pray for us, the body of Christ!

God bless you!!!

God's Love In Spite Of

God’s Love In Spite Of...

Romans 5:8 “ But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (KJV)

Jeremiah 31:3B “ I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” (KJV)

Introduction-  This week we've had a special conference hosted by our men's ministry and our theme has been “The love we show one another”. As I begin to think about this topic I realized there are many ways a topic like this can be discussed, however I am going to go with the way that God lead me in. I pray this bless your spirit  as it did for me. I want to take this time to minister to you about beauty of God's overwhelming love for us that we don't deserve. There is a need for love everywhere so take this time to evaluate the amount of love you may or may not need showing.

The World
As I begin to think about some of the things that are happening and taking place in our world today, it becomes very clear to me that there is a change. A change not for the better though, a change that is hurting us and driving a wedge right through the middle of our society and families. A kind of change that makes you think twice before knocking on your neighbor's door, a kind of change that is causing us to be fearful to speak to strangers and people on our everyday surroundings, well what is this change you ask? I believe an answer lies right in the Word of God. 2Timothy: 1:7 “ For God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” This scripture is very enlightening in a way that I think few people think about. Where the lack and loss of love is, there is always going to be more evil around. Think about some of the things that are happening in our society right now. There is a great amount of racial tension, anger in people, & fearfulness all around, and in one way or another, the lack & loss of love can be found as one of the continuing reasons we are having these problems. John: 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Too many of us have let the love go absent among us. If we are not obeying this simple command then we know God can not be among us. The world is becoming a very spiritually cold place to be. It's evident there's no love among the world, there's violence at an all time high, hatred in many people's hearts, greed, sexual immoral sins and much more filth being pushed out by the media. We need the Lord's help in our homes, families, marriages, schools, neighborhoods Etc. How do we overcome the loss of love? I'm glad you asked!...

The Church
I would be remiss if i didn't refer back to our subject scripture, Romans 5:8, the church was basically founded and established on this very principle of love. We all are born into sin and the fact that God yet loved us so much that over 2,000 years ago he would die for our sins, a humiliating death at the hands of his own creation for the sake of giving everyone who will ever live an opportunity to not only receive his love into your life but to also share this love with everyone you can. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did this for us because He loves you and I with a love that our minds can never totally imagine. We never did anything to deserve  what he has done, and we never can, we owe him, and all he asks is that we be saved and receive His Holy Spirit! So the question was asked how we overcome the loss of love, the answer is simple and it's
through God's love. As Jeremiah 31:3B “with lovingkindness have I drawn thee” it is with that very same love and kindness we are able to win over those in the world after we have received him into our life's. It's hard for our minds understand loving our enemies, doing good to those that treat you wrong, praying for those that are waiting to see you fail but these very things God expects of us. With God's Spirit, all these things can be done Jesus walked this very earth to show us that. Matthew 5:44 “but I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you”.
These are the things that Jesus lived out and expects of us. People of God and those looking for love and to be loved, God is love. He loves you and he loves me the same. There's hatred, killing, confusion, division, deceit and everything opposite of love is in the world. The world has a way of knocking you down enough times to make you give up but with God even in your weakest time, God's strength is made perfect in us. We all have made mistakes, said things, done things, that we should not have, and sinned in some type of way but in spite of it all God has still loved you and me!!! Show God's love everywhere to everyone & if you don't yet have the Holy Ghost come visit our church and receive His love in Jesus Name!

God Bless you!!!

A Call for the Youth & Parents

Why are You Trying to Fit In? It is often said and thought by many young people in today's time that while you're young is the time to go out, party, smoke, drink, stay out late and in other words whatever you want to do. There is a phrase that I have often heard used by youth, “YOLO” acronym meaning “you only live once” granted the statement is true, but the context in which it is used is not. It’s saying because you only live once you should do anything and everything you can, and that is  very dangerous! The Bible teaches us in Proverbs chapter 22 & verse 15  part A that “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child”. So in other words kids are already going to be kids and do silly things and maybe not always make the best choices. Children are dealing with peer pressure, puberty, school work, and really just trying figure themselves out: for society and rappers telling children to get out there and basically do what you want is absolutely the wrong thing to do. As parents, teachers, role models and adults, we are to be active in children's lives helping guide them the right way from our experience and life lessons to help make them better so the cycle can continue with every generation getting better & better. Life is known to be a hard teacher and without proper guidance from those that have been there, done that, life will be the way that most young people learn. Many times this is how young ladies have kids before marriage, and often become single parents. While many boys think being hard and running the streets is the way, they end up behind bars and often times things don't get better unless you finally decided to give your life to God, but why go through and experience difficult things that you don’t have to. ( full plan of salvation Acts 2:38) Young people obey your parent. Parents it’s time to step up, you play a key role in whether your child fails or succeeds.

What Better Time Than Now?/ What Are You Waiting On? Before reading this section please refer to your bible and read Ecclesiastes 12:1 & Mark 10:14-16. Looking at Ecclesiastes 12:1 it’s important to realize God wants to save all of us, and feel each of us with his Holy Spirit as young and as soon as possible. We all have the choice to make on whether or not we will allow him to do so. Jesus died for each and every person alive, no matter what you’ve done God can save you. Weather you have been the son or daughter that has given your parents and teachers a hard time, trying to find a way on your own and just wanting to have fun, party and hangout with friends, or even if you're the parent that has not been a part of your child's life and been struggling with some things of your own, there is no better time then now! The time for excuses and running is up Philippians 4:13 lets us know through Jesus we can do all things. If you believe I declare God will do it for you today! God wants to use each of us at a young age in life, but the enieme wants to destroy us at a young age meaning cause us to make life altering decisions that we may have to live with the rest of our lives. Looking at Mark 10:14-16 I must first say that this scripture is not saying if you don't get saved as a child God won’t save you, no, no, no, but it is saying after God comes into your life and you receive His Spirit with the evidence of speaking in unknown tongues, it takes time to grow, and understand God’s word, it takes time to build your prayer life. You are as a child in this spiritual sense that you're learning how to live saved and Holy as God would have us all to be. It takes coming to church faithfully, it take praying everyday, reading your bible, fasting, and through these things you will grow spiritually and learn to be a good parents, husbands wives, sons, and daughters. The sooner you can receive God in your life the easier life can be because your faith can be in Him and his word that has to come to pass.

You Have Everything To Gain and To Lose 1. Thessalonians 5:15-18 these verses of scriptures refer what things will be like during the rapture for those of who are saved, filled with the Holy Ghost and lived our lives right. As I stated before young people, God wants to use you to do many great things at a young age, but the enemy wants to destroy your life at a young age. God can give you the power to resist temptation, to save your purity for marriage, to keep you from drugs and fights, these things are immature and profit you nothing. To the parents that are still trying to get it right, it’s not late, there is nothing wrong with apologizing to your children. Maybe they have heard you use profanity or seen you do drugs or anything that is wrong. Apologize and let them see you doing the right thing so you can hold them accountable for doing the right thing as well. Pray together share life lessons and keep the line of communication open between yourself and your child so you can be the help the need. Most importantly go to church together and get saved, by giving your life to Jesus Christ, repent, be baptized, believe God for his spirit and the evidence speaking in tongues.

Inspired and lead by the Holy Spirit,

"Why give your life to Jesus ?"

  • Acts 2:38 KJV[38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

  • John 14:6 KJV[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The question was once asked, why give your life to Jesus, today you will receive the answer, not based off of option or speculation, but based off of the Holy word of God The Bible and facts. There are many reasons to give your life to the Lord Jesus. I would like to start with the fact that God made you and I and it is his plan that we live for him, not being forced to but freely and willingly because he wants us to love him the way he loves each and everyone of us, so much so that he would die.
John 3:16 KJV
[16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Have you ever wondered in life why you just feel unfulfilled, displeased with yourself, or unmotivated, or even wondering what to do next? As John 14:6 says Jesus is the way, truth and the life, every answer you need and every problem you need solved He is able to handle it, but he's looking for you to come to him. The way you do that is by following the steps of Acts 2:38 and praying which is talking to God, building a relationship with him just like you would with your best friend. As you begin to do these things with faith, God will begin to bless you like never before in your home, marriage, job, finances and before you know it you will be growing in leaps and bounds in your relationship with God and your family and everything and everyone around will be blessed because of your relationship with God. Living life with Christ is the best life you could EVER possibly live Give your all unto him....give him

your life because he gave us his.

God bless you!
