Part One

  * Yoga is a Hindu and Buddhist Religious Worship Practice, Derived from the Hindu Religion. Therefore Yoga Can Not legally be taught or practiced in Public Schools! Yoga is Demonic in Origin, and Not for Christians!

* Words Defined:

   1. “Yoga Sutras”- Ancient Doctrine of Yoga…

   2. “Sanskrit”- Ancient Language of India (Hindu Scriptures are Written)…

   3. “The Kundalini”- Coiled like Serpent of Divine Energy, base of Spine.

   4. “Antithetical”- Things that Contradicts, At Odds, & Directly Opposite…

   5. “Mantras”- A Sacred Utterance, Sound, Message, Text, or Spell…

   6. “Esoteric”- Understood by Only an Enlightened inner circle of people…

   8. “Pantheistic”- Hindu belief god in everything- Man, objects, universe…

Listed below are some of the main teachings of the Yoga Sutras, the ancient doctrine of Yoga, believed to be dated around 2,000 years ago. They have been divided into five main points.

Please also note that this teaching has been and IS the foundation of yoga. Many teachers have not been properly taught what they are teaching, and many are unfamiliar with the following truths about yoga. Their lack of education does not negate what is at the core and under the surface of the physical elements they teach.

*Please note all boldface font within scriptures has been added to point attention.

1. God

YOGA:
The god of yoga is called Ishvara (Yoga supreme god), and represented by “Om”Yoga Sutras, 1.25: The god Ishvara is the source of all knowledge.

1.27: This god “Ishvara” is represented by the symbol and sound of “Om.”

Many teachers propagate that “Om” is either a sound without meaning–simply energetic vibrations calming the body, or that it is whatever god is to the individual. That is not true. “Om” very clearly represents the pagan god Ishvara.

BIBLE:
The God of the Bible is the Lord. He is the Father, the Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in one being. He is the only God.

Deuteronomy 5:7: I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before (besides) me.

Deuteronomy 4:39: Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.

Deuteronomy 30:17: But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed . . .

Judges 2:12-13: They forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods of the peoples around them. They provoked the Lord to anger because they forsook him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths.

(*Note: Baal and Ashtoreth are names of pagan gods.)

"God Our Father" by Minister Dionne Watkins

God our Father

One of the definitions for father is a man in relation to his child or children.  It may be
hard for some of us to grasp the concept of God our Father especially when so many of us come from homes where our fathers were absent, or their presence wasn’t the ideal picture of what we desired from them and needed from them.

I want to encourage you upon today to rest in the fact that God is a father of the fatherless (Psalm 68:5).  He wants to be in a relationship with you so that you may know as sons and daughters the depths of a father’s love.

Our innate abilities to decipher between good and bad, and right or wrong gives us insight concerning the qualities and characteristics of a good father.  We know what a good father looks like even if we didn’t have one.

When I think of a good father, I think about a father who provides for his children.  I am reminded of Matthew 7:11, “if ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”

My natural father was far from the ideal father, he did things as a father that left me
broken in places, yet he always provided the material things I needed.

I do not believe my natural father set his heart to break my spirit, I believe he was just as we all are before we come to Jesus; born into sin and shaped in iniquity.  Hence Jesus’s statement, “if we being evil, know how to give good gifts.”  My father was not all bad, all the time, there were times when he was nice, times when he was kind, times when he literally gave good gifts, but my father was flawed because of the fallen nature of man.

God Our father is not flawed, he is perfect and righteous in every way.  I have asked God the Father for a plethora of things and one of those things was to be made whole, to be healed from all the pain and disappointments of my past that would hinder me from being all God has called me to be and he has answered just as he said he would.

I have tasted and I have seen that the Lord is good, blessed is the man that trusteth in him (Psalm 34:8). What is your idea of a good father?  Perhaps it’s a father you can count on to be there for you no matter what, take comfort in Isaiah 41:10 “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous hand”.

Maybe your idea of a good father is a father who is caring then know that you can cast all your cares upon him (your heavenly father) for he cares for you (I Peter 5:7). Whatever your idea of a good father is God our Father will be that for you and even more.

Keep in mind just as with our natural father’s, God the Father has expectations concerning his children, that we should be obedient and allow him to lead and guide us, take heed to the words of Solomon in the book of Proverbs; “hear, ye children, the instruction of a father and attend to know understanding..he taught me also and said unto me, let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live (vv. 1, 4).”

God Our father wants us to live abundant lives, he came that we would have life

and life more abundantly (John 10:10)). God our Father wants what’s best for us his children, he loves us so much that he laid down his life for us (John 3:16), he provides for us and supplies all our needs according to his riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), he protects us being our refuge and our strength (Psalm 46:1), he instructs us (John 16:13), he chastises us and he delights in us (Proverbs 3:12).

When we trust in God Our Father and walk upright before him, no good thing
will he withhold from us (Psalm 84:11).
God Our Father wants to wrap his loving arms around you, trust him. He will not disappoint you.

He will be the best dad you can have; will you trust him?

"Waiting" by Evangelist LaShaunda Claiborn

Waiting……

It would be a rhetorical question if I were to ask have you ever had to wait on God?  I’m sure any one of us would boldly answer YES! Waiting on God could be ranked as one of the most difficult things that we are called to do. Notice the words “called to do”.  Whenever God calls us to do something, He also equips us with the ability to do so. When the time comes to wait, God gives us grace that is sufficient.  He supplies us with His Word. He grants us permission to come boldly before His throne.  He gives us room to praise His name. He allows us to draw nigh unto Him.  He strengthens our mind. He renews our strength. He humbles us. He blesses us. He prepares us. He fills our cup. He stretches our faith. He gives us Joy unspeakable. He restores our soul and so much more. From that perspective, waiting should always be viewed as a blessing from God. Because God shows up on time all of the time.

While you are waiting, allow yourself to remain steadfast and focused. Then watch God come through and blow your mind!

“5 Reasons God May Be Delaying” by Dr. Hazel A. Claiborn

-It is so challenging to face delays.

-Waiting is not easy when you are in a crisis, pain, sick, lonely, discouraged, overwhelmed, confused, frustrated, grieving, broke, anxious, etc.

- john ch 3 teaches us that we can hang on in a crisis-

Jesus gets word that Lazarus is terminally ill but stays 2 more days…

-Is delays, a denial? Not always.

“5 Reasons God may be Delaying

Reason #1- god might be delaying his answer because you are not ready to receive it.

Phil 1:6 “god will continue helping you until the work is complete”

-You can’t see it, but god is working behind the scenes of “your issues/ your request”- you may not see it but have faith and trust him

-have you ever thought, that you may not be ready for the answer god has for you? So, perhaps God is working to make sure you are ready when the answer comes.

Reason #2- god might be protecting you from something harmful.

Psalms 3:3- …god is a shield, our glory, and the lifter of our heads

-god knows everything about everything. He knows you too.

He knows those you are praying about, happenings, places, life events before they occur, etc.…

-god wants circumstances/people in our lives that will further “his work” & that will help you accomplish “his will” (not your will)

-romans 8:28 – “and we know that all that happens to us is working for our good, if we love god and are fitting into his plans” the living bible.

Reason #3- god might be delaying his answer because of his timing.

-god’s never early, never late, but always on time.  God’s timing often feels longer than our timing but at the right time god will do it!!!

Isa 55:8a “this plan of mine is not what you would work out, neither are my thoughts the same as yours…”

-god timing has an eternal perspective. He knows the past, present, and future. What do we know? Nothing compared to god.

-god delays might be because the answer you seek is not in his timing yet.

Perhaps he wants to stretch your faith.

-No matter how terrible, impossible the situation feels, it may appear to you there is no help, no hope, and no answer- but god will see you through this and he alone has the final say!

-You have put a “period” on this thing, but god has put a “comma” on it. It’s not over. (that marriage, relationship, job, health, future, etc)

-Lazarus was dead for 4 days. Martha put a period on it. But it was not over. God put an exclamation point it; when the timing was right!!!

-God will take your dead situation and resurrect it; if you trust him!!!

Reason #4- god might be delaying his answer in order to grow your faith.

James 1:2-4-Is your life full of difficulties and temptations? Then be happy, for when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow, and don’t try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete” TLB

-testing of faith produces steadfastness- loyalty, commitment, dedication, determination, dependability, devotion, faithfulness, etc…

-Our faith, our character, and our understanding of god can grow dramatically when we learn to trust him in our delays.

-Ps 119:34 ‘Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart”

-Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is what others think you are.

Reason #5- god might be delaying his answer ;in order to give you a “new direction”

Col 1:9 “… be filled with the knowledge of “his will”

-pray & asking god to help you understand what he wants you to do

-ask him to make you wise about spiritual things

-pray that the way you live; will always please and honor the lord

-perhaps god is redirecting you.-seek “his will” in this matter

-you may be praying in “one direction” but he wants you to pray in a different direction

- or perhaps, the delay may be a “gentle” way of saying “no”

- “no”, this is not my will

- “no”, this is not my timing

- “no, this is not my direction

- “no”, I have something/someone better for you!

-trust god. He loves you. He wants what’s best for you.

You are not alone. God has not forgotten or forsaken you.

Tuesday, June 15, 2021

In these Strange and Challenging Times, Many People are feeling fearful,

afraid, and lost. Most of us have heard and seen things this past year and a

half that we thought would never happen. Through all of this, God never left

us or forsook usPsalm 46:1- God is our refuge and strength, a very present

help in trouble. God knows every thing that’s going to happen before it

happens, and He prepares us for all challenges. God chose you and I for

such a time as this. Esther 4:14- “For if thou altogether holdest thy

peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the

Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be

destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such

a time as this?” We are where we suppose to be in this day and time in life.

The World Need us more than ever, and God wants to use You and I

more than ever to help bring healing to a very sick and dying world. If You

are a Born Again and Holy Spirit Filled Believer, Stay Saved and Help Bring

others to Christ. If You are Not a Born Again and Holy Ghost Filled Believer,

I want to Introduce You to The Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST! HE Loves

You! JESUS Cares for You and everything you are going through! JESUS

Wants you to give your life to HIM! Here is what The Bible Says You Need to

Do: Acts 2:38- “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every

one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall

receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” JESUS Already made The Way for You &

All of Us To Survive and Thrive during These Challenging Times. That Way is

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! John 14:6- “Jesus saith unto Him, I am The Way,

The Truth, and The Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

God Bless You!!!

"What Makes A Woman Beautiful" by Dr. Hazel A. Claiborn

                                   “WHAT MAKES A WOMAN BEAUTIFUL”

-DR. HAZEL A. CLAIBORN

IS IT WEARING THE LATEST HAIRSTYLES, WEAVES, BRAIDS, OR HAIR ADORNMENTS? IS IT SHOPPING AT SEPHORA FOR THE LATEST MAKEUP? IS IT WEARING NAME BRANDS LIKE GUCCI, LV, COACH, OR MK?  IS IT VISITING THE NAIL SALON WEEKLY TO MAINTAIN A GEL MANICURE? OR DOES IT SIMPLY REQUIRE MUCH LESS PHYSICAL WORK THAN ALL OF THE ABOVE BEAUTY REGIMINES?

SOCIETY PLACES A HIGH DEGREE OF IMPORTANCE ON PHYSICAL APPEARANCE.

TELEVISION, MOVIES, MAGAZINES, ALL DISPLAY “SO CALLED” BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE.  OUR SOCIETY IS OBSESSED WITH PHYSICAL OUTWARD BEAUTY, AND MANY WOMEN ARE CAUGHT UP IN THIS OBSESSION AS WELL.

IS THIS SOMETHING THAT A CHRISTIAN WOMAN SHOULD BE OBSESSED WITH? SHOULD OUR OUTWARD APPEARANCE BE THAT IMPORTANT TO US?  DON’T GET ME WRONG I DO BELIEVE WE SHOULD CARE FOR OURSELVES AND PUT FORTH AN EFFORT TO LOOK AND BE OUR BEST AT ALL TIMES.

HOWEVER, I BELIEVE A WOMAN IS BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE GOD HAS DESIGNED US TO BE BEAUTIFUL.

HE CREATED OUR SKIN, HAIR, AND OTHER FEATURES TO BE SOFT AND BEAUTIFUL.  SO, OUR OUTWARD SIDE OF BEAUTY IS JUST A SMALL PART OF WHAT MAKES US TRULY BEAUTIFUL.

A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IS NOT ONLY ADMIRED FOR HER PHYSICAL BEAUTY BUT HER INNER BEAUTY AND QUALITIES AS WELL.

AS WOMEN WE TEND TO BE OVERLY CRITICAL REGARDING OUR OUTWARD FEATURES AND WE NEGLECT WHAT TRULY MAKES US BEAUTIFUL, OUR INNER FEATURES. WOMAN WE ARE TRULY BEAUTIFUL WHEN OUR OUTWARD AND INNER QUALITIES ARE IN SYNC.

HERE ARE THREE INNER QUALITIES THAT WILL ENHANCE YOUR BEAUTY MORE THAN MARY KAY OR MAC PRODUCTS.

#1. KINDNESS. A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IS KIND, GENTLE, AND GRACIOUS.  PROVERBS 11:16

#2.  GOOD JUDGEMENT. A LOVELY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE DISCRETION. A WOMAN WITHOUT DISCRETION IS LIKE A GOLD RING IN A PIG’S NOSE. PROVERBS 11:22

#3. COMPETENCE AND ABILITY. A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IS ABLE TO CONTRIBUTE TO OTHERS THROUGH HER ABILITIES; SHE IS USEFUL TO HER FAMILY, CHURCH, AND COMMUNITY. PROVERBS 31

LAST, HOW WE LOOK TO GOD IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HOW WE LOOK TO OTHERS. GOD VALUES A QUIET SPIRIT IN A WOMAN. I PETER 3:3-4.   WOMEN SHOULD NOT HAVE AN ARGUMENTATIVE, CONTENTIOUS SPIRIT. WE SHOULD BE PEACEFUL TO OTHERS AND RESPECTFUL TO OUR HUSBANDS.

ALSO, A TRULY BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IS NOT IN COMPETITION WITH A MAN. SHE UNDERSTANDS HER VALUE AND STRENGTHS.  WOMEN WHO DO NOT HAVE INNER GODLY QUALITIES, ARE HOLLOW AND EMPTY SHELLS.

MY LAST BEAUTY TIP IS FEARING GOD ACCORDING TO PROV 31:30; THIS MAKES US SO ATTRACTIVE TO GOD AND DEEPENS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.
