God’s Love In Spite Of...

Romans 5:8 “ But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (KJV)

Jeremiah 31:3B “ I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” (KJV)

Introduction-  This week we've had a special conference hosted by our men's ministry and our theme has been “The love we show one another”. As I begin to think about this topic I realized there are many ways a topic like this can be discussed, however I am going to go with the way that God lead me in. I pray this bless your spirit  as it did for me. I want to take this time to minister to you about beauty of God's overwhelming love for us that we don't deserve. There is a need for love everywhere so take this time to evaluate the amount of love you may or may not need showing.

The World
As I begin to think about some of the things that are happening and taking place in our world today, it becomes very clear to me that there is a change. A change not for the better though, a change that is hurting us and driving a wedge right through the middle of our society and families. A kind of change that makes you think twice before knocking on your neighbor's door, a kind of change that is causing us to be fearful to speak to strangers and people on our everyday surroundings, well what is this change you ask? I believe an answer lies right in the Word of God. 2Timothy: 1:7 “ For God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” This scripture is very enlightening in a way that I think few people think about. Where the lack and loss of love is, there is always going to be more evil around. Think about some of the things that are happening in our society right now. There is a great amount of racial tension, anger in people, & fearfulness all around, and in one way or another, the lack & loss of love can be found as one of the continuing reasons we are having these problems. John: 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Too many of us have let the love go absent among us. If we are not obeying this simple command then we know God can not be among us. The world is becoming a very spiritually cold place to be. It's evident there's no love among the world, there's violence at an all time high, hatred in many people's hearts, greed, sexual immoral sins and much more filth being pushed out by the media. We need the Lord's help in our homes, families, marriages, schools, neighborhoods Etc. How do we overcome the loss of love? I'm glad you asked!...

The Church
I would be remiss if i didn't refer back to our subject scripture, Romans 5:8, the church was basically founded and established on this very principle of love. We all are born into sin and the fact that God yet loved us so much that over 2,000 years ago he would die for our sins, a humiliating death at the hands of his own creation for the sake of giving everyone who will ever live an opportunity to not only receive his love into your life but to also share this love with everyone you can. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did this for us because He loves you and I with a love that our minds can never totally imagine. We never did anything to deserve  what he has done, and we never can, we owe him, and all he asks is that we be saved and receive His Holy Spirit! So the question was asked how we overcome the loss of love, the answer is simple and it's
through God's love. As Jeremiah 31:3B “with lovingkindness have I drawn thee” it is with that very same love and kindness we are able to win over those in the world after we have received him into our life's. It's hard for our minds understand loving our enemies, doing good to those that treat you wrong, praying for those that are waiting to see you fail but these very things God expects of us. With God's Spirit, all these things can be done Jesus walked this very earth to show us that. Matthew 5:44 “but I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you”.
These are the things that Jesus lived out and expects of us. People of God and those looking for love and to be loved, God is love. He loves you and he loves me the same. There's hatred, killing, confusion, division, deceit and everything opposite of love is in the world. The world has a way of knocking you down enough times to make you give up but with God even in your weakest time, God's strength is made perfect in us. We all have made mistakes, said things, done things, that we should not have, and sinned in some type of way but in spite of it all God has still loved you and me!!! Show God's love everywhere to everyone & if you don't yet have the Holy Ghost come visit our church and receive His love in Jesus Name!

God Bless you!!!
